A bit about the role

Working with our Head of Commercial and the wider Commercial team, the Senior Specialist for Professional Services will support the execution and maintenance of the Agency’s commercial strategy, operating an innovative, compliant and cost effective commercial function across the Agency.

Managing public procurement activity related to professional services (including contingent labour) the primary focus of the role is to work collaboratively with key business stakeholders across Directorates on a wide range of commercial matters.

This role is dedicated to delivering clear advice, guidance and support across the Agency and ensuring all contracts are procured compliantly and with clear focus on meeting business needs and objectives.

As a team we also believe in working in a collaborative way and value diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and shared problem solving.

A bit about you

Working with key stakeholders you will provide efficient, consistent and effective category expertise to meet business needs and objectives.

You'll be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and handling a range of procurement processes (open, competitive-flex, framework call-off) to achieve quality contractual outcomes.

You'll support compliance activity in general and contribute to the Agency’s procurement, contract management and wider commercial operations. With experience of professional services and public procurement, you'll bring a strong eye for detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency and clarity in everything you deliver.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a commercial team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
