MDA Space, a leader in space technology, seeks a senior hardware engineer in the UK to translate system requirements into robust hardware specifications. You will design evaluation boards for ASIC validation, develop high-speed SerDes and RF interfaces, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable hardware for satellite and space systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing EVBs for ASIC validation and characterization.
• High-speed SerDes (26.4 Gbps+) and RF design (10 GHz+) proficiency desired.
• Strong PCB design, layout reviews, and signal integrity analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate system requirements into detailed hardware specifications.
• Develop hardware architecture and design concepts for products.
• Design and optimize EVBs and clock distribution networks for high-speed interfaces.
• Develop power supply architectures and high-current PDN solutions for ASIC-based systems.
• Create schematics using Cadence tools; define PCB stack-up and HDI requirements.
• Collaborate with PCB Layout and perform schematic/ layout reviews; support prototype bring-up and debugging.
• Develop PI analysis, IR drop optimization, and test plans; document hardware processes.
