We are seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our team at a newly refurbished, multi-million-pound luxury hotel located on the stunning coast of North East England. This prestigious property boasts 5 diverse dining outlets, including a fine dining restaurant with a seasonal menu that features ingredients sourced from our own garden and local suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for career development for an ambitious sous chef or a rewarding challenge for an experienced senior sous chef.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the hotel's high standards.
  • Manage and lead kitchen operations across multiple dining settings, including fine dining and casual cafes.
  • Ensure the highest quality of dishes before they reach the customer.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and skilled kitchen environment.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Manage food purchasing and storage to maximise quality and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally within a Michelin-starred or Rosette-awarded restaurant.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and creativity.
