Job summary

CGI is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to own architecture across projects for a major Local Government account in Glasgow. You will guide decisions from demand to implementation, shaping secure, scalable architectures and advising stakeholders.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work with Enterprise Architects, Technical Leads and delivery teams to drive transformation, application modernisation and cloud initiatives while upholding governance and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within a complex enterprise technology environment.
• Strong design capability, with secure, practical and supportable architectures.
• Proven ability to evaluate technology options and trade-offs with evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience supporting transformation and modernisation initiatives, including cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of architecture governance and design assurance.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture across projects, programmes and strategic initiatives from demand through implementation and support.
• Develop pragmatic, secure and supportable architectures aligned with business priorities.
• Evaluate options, articulate trade-offs and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Shape application modernisation, cloud transformation and strategic technology change.
• Contribute to architecture governance and design assurance across the delivery lifecycle.
• Identify risks, dependencies and constraints early and propose practical remedies.
• Collaborate with architecture, delivery, service management, suppliers and client teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Strengthen architecture standards, roadmaps and the wider MEAS capability.
