A major digital retailer in Liverpool is seeking a qualified solicitor to join their legal team. This role focuses on commercial contracts and corporate governance, offering the chance to work on diverse legal projects in a supportive environment. Candidates should possess strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing demands. This role represents a great opportunity for a qualified solicitor to work within a critical support function of a major digital retailer and financial services provider with an exposure to a broad range of practice areas, with particular focus on both commercial contracts and corporate governance legal support.
An understanding of commercial contracts, corporate law or corporate governance is essential for this role, whether it be through PQE experience or in a training rotation. This role covers a wide range of contracts including generalist commercial (IT, Retail, Partnerships) and Corporate Governance.

Alongside the ability to demonstrate sound commercial awareness and judgement and logical problem-solving skills you will have experience in commercial law with knowledge of corporate practices.
You will have effective communication and influencing skills with the ability to convey the implications of complex technical issues to non-subject matter experts at all levels and the confidence to challenge and elevate appropriately.
You will be able to work independently and use your own initiative whilst having the support of senior lawyers within the team and you will be expected to manage competing demands and to work under pressure.
