DCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to complex software-based systems in Dorset. This is a systems engineering role rather than software development, offering a permanent, full-time position with a salary up to £60,000.

You will help define system requirements, work across the engineering lifecycle from design to testing, and collaborate with customers and suppliers while aiming for safety, quality and traceability.

Competenze

• Experience in a Systems Engineering role, ideally involving complex or software-based systems.
• Knowledge of system design, integration, verification and validation.
• Experience defining and managing system requirements, including traceability.
• Understanding of software-intensive systems, system architecture and software lifecycle principles.
• Experience developing, conducting or documenting system-level tests.
• Understanding of system interfaces, modular design and open architecture principles.
• Confidence working with customers, technical teams, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Develop, review and maintain system requirements, ensuring they are clear, achievable and traceable.
• Help define system structures and how hardware, software and other elements interact.
