Job summary

PCI Pal is seeking a passionate Senior Software Developer to join an agile squad. You will design, build, and enhance features across the PCI Pal product suite while mentoring peers and driving engineering best practices.

The role requires commuting distance to London or Ipswich with weekly office visits as needed. You will work across modern C#, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and cloud platforms (AWS), focusing on scalable, secure, and high-quality software with a strong emphasis on architecture and

Qualifications

• Strong experience in modern C#, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Strong cloud platform experience, ideally AWS.
• Strong CI/CD experience.
• Strong experience using infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform).
• Experience developing serverless applications (Lambda).
• Focus on architecture and code quality.
• Experience with Vue or React.
• Understanding of SOLID and design patterns.
• Strong OOP and Dependency Injection.
• Experience integrating with third party APIs.
• Experience writing performance critical code.
• Experience with Git or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a close-knit squad to design, build and deliver high quality solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Drive best practices – SOLID, design patterns and refactoring.
• Write code to develop, fix or enhance features in the PCI Pal product suite.
• Plan and refine projects with team leads and product owners.
• Help ensure timely delivery of features in a fast-changing environment.
• Support web infrastructure health checks and maintenance.
• Maintain expert knowledge of PCI Pal products, services, and deployment methodology.
• Create internal technical and process documentation for wider engineering use.
• Maintain high standards of software quality and lead code reviews.
• Support live products and learn new technologies.
