Job summary

Barclays is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Resilience Operations team. You will design, develop, and maintain cyber resilience tooling across a distributed microservices platform, collaborating with security, infrastructure, and application teams.

You will own architectural decisions, mentor colleagues, and contribute to scalable, reliable, and secure platforms, with opportunities to work across Knutsford or Glasgow-based sites.

Qualifications

• React or Angular front-end development (responsive, accessible UIs).
• Go backend development, including REST API design and service integration.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines (build, test, scan, deploy automation).
• Containerised applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift (deploy, run, troubleshoot).

Responsibilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions with scalable, maintainable code.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment.
