Job summary

MCS Group in Belfast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing tech team. You will build and refine large-scale applications, with focus on backend services, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.

You will own projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor peers, working in a hybrid model with three days in the office. Strong hands-on coding and collaboration are essential, including delivering reliable software on AWS and containerised environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience with Python, TypeScript, Go or another backend language.
• Experience working with microservices
• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture
• A genuine interest in building reliable, scalable software

Belfast | Hybrid | 3 days in office

I'm working with a well-established technology company in Belfast that is continuing to grow its engineering team and invest in modern technology.

They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and work on the development of large-scale applications and services. This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes solving complex technical problems and wants to have a real say in how solutions are designed and built.

What you'll be doing
