We’re hiring for a leading trading firm building a brand‑new payments platform. This is a unique chance to join a high‑performance engineering team from the very early stages of a major build, working on low‑latency, high‑throughput payment services at the heart of the firm’s trading operations.

The business is heavily investing in modernising its payments architecture, with all new development built in C# .NET and deployed on AWS. The focus is on speed, scalability and resilience – designing systems capable of handling high transaction volumes with minimal latency and maximum reliability. You’ll work closely with traders, quants and senior engineers to help shape the next generation of the firm’s payments infrastructure.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build new microservices, drive architectural decisions, and take ownership of key components across the payments lifecycle – including authorisation, routing, reconciliation and settlement – all within a performance‑critical trading environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4–5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a C# .NET environment
• Strong experience building low‑latency, high‑throughput distributed systems
• Proven experience within the payments domain – card payments, cross‑border, settlements, routing, merchant acquiring, etc.
• Exposure to trading, financial markets or performance‑critical systems (preferred)
• Strong understanding of system design, event‑driven architecture and microservices
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a green‑field environment with autonomy and ownership
