Job summary

Novatus is evolving its core domain services as a Senior Software Engineer, building and maintaining systems in a modern domain-driven, event-driven architecture. You will help re-platform from a legacy Django app to a service-based .NET platform on AWS, delivering precise, auditable regulatory reporting solutions for financial services.

You’ll work across Product, Data Engineering, DevOps, QA and Regulatory teams to ensure reliable delivery, strong testing, and observable systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building services with C# and .NET.
• Solid experience with event-driven, service-based systems (Kafka).
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and hexagonal architecture.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, automated testing, CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Active use of AI tooling (Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) with best-practices.
• Ability to translate regulatory/domain requirements into working code.
• High ownership mindset and delivery accountability.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core domain services using C# and .NET.
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code.
• Review peers' code and contribute to engineering standards.
• Build auditable, resilient, and observable systems in regulated environments.
• Use AI tooling to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, DevOps, QA and Regulatory teams to turn requirements into software.
