Job summary

inMusic is seeking a Software Engineer to build and enhance music creation software, platform capabilities and product integrations. The role covers design and implementation for music creation tools while exploring opportunities to reuse and scale technology across inMusic brands. Senior level candidates may be considered.

Location: Cambridge, UK. You will work with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver reliable, user-focused features, contribute to architecture

Qualifications

• Experience in C++, desktop applications and audio software.
• Background with embedded-adjacent systems or plug-ins is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-connected products and music tech concepts.
• Ability to work in cross-functional product teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality software for music creation products and platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and engineers to deliver user-focused features.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, planning, and estimation.
• Improve code quality, performance, and development practices.
• Support integration across inMusic hardware/software ecosystems.
• Diagnose complex issues and contribute to platform stability.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
