Job summary

Expleo seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Marine Training Systems to support the development, maintenance, integration and deployment of advanced training and simulation systems operating within secure defence environments.

The role focuses on sustaining and enhancing operational simulation and training solutions throughout their lifecycle, working with a multidisciplinary engineering team on software delivery, verification and customer deployments across naval platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
• Equivalent industry experience considered with relevant technical delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and maintain software applications for training and simulation systems.
• Perform software testing, verification and defect resolution.
• Support software patching, server updates and system maintenance.
• Participate in system integration with hardware interfaces, networks and external systems.
• Support software releases through acceptance and deployment processes (FAT, TRR, TCR).
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues affecting operational systems.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and engineering artefacts.
• Support deployment, installation and troubleshooting at customer locations.
• Collaborate with systems, software, integration and support teams.
• Contribute to process improvements in engineering and support.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and security requirements.
