Job summary

TES Global in Sheffield is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable software across front-end and back-end technologies within an Agile team. You will mentor others and contribute to engineering best practices.

The role is hybrid (3 days in the office), permanent, with a salary up to £80,000 per annum, reflecting a strong focus on growth, collaboration, and delivering high‑quality EdTech solutions for schools worldwide.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least two of JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, or .NET.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, scalable software across front-end and back-end frameworks.
• Lead by example in applying solid engineering principles and best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct and guide high-quality code reviews, including complex changes.
• Take ownership of deploying code across environments and releasing to production.
• Collaborate with QA to define and improve testing strategies.
• Mentor and support engineers across the team.
