Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate digital retail experiences powering LEGO.com, the LEGO Insiders App, and related platforms. You will join a cross-functional team delivering customer-facing features and scalable backend services using JavaScript and TypeScript, while mentoring others and driving engineering excellence.

The role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, ownership of complex systems, and a hybrid work rhythm with three days weekly

Qualifications

Delivered production-grade applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
Built solutions using React, Next.js, or cloud-native microservices.
Implemented AWS, GraphQL, and CI/CD engineering practices in live environments.
Applied AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar, to improve software delivery.
Led critical technical initiatives and coached engineers through code review practices.
Designed and operated large-scale distributed systems with measurable improvements in performance, reliability, or scalability.

Responsibilities

Deliver significant features and enhancements across Shopper Technology products.
Scale high‑traffic digital commerce experiences.
Solve challenges that span frontend applications, APIs, microservices, and infrastructure.
Improve performance, reliability, security, and developer productivity.
Identify and resolve scalability and operational issues across production services.
Contribute to engineering best practices and the adoption of AI‑assisted development.
