Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Software Development Engineer III within the B2B division to design, develop, and deliver scalable software and APIs powering our partner ecosystem. You will mentor junior engineers, lead complex engineering initiatives, and influence the technical direction of our products and systems.

You will work across teams to ensure robust, observable software, applying design principles and patterns, and contributing to production readiness through testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or Master's) in a technical field with 3+ years (or 5+ years) of software development experience.
• Experience developing software in multiple programming languages.
• Experience designing and building APIs for consumption across a business unit.
• Familiarity with testing and monitoring tools for observable software.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex systems and APIs used across the business unit.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code evolution through structured reviews.
• Collaborate with peers to identify cross-dependencies and solve problems.
• Design clean, maintainable software using solid design principles and patterns.
• Test, debug, and resolve production issues within SLAs.
