Overview

Narvar is growing! We are looking for Fullstack Software Engineers that enjoy working on both APIs and UIs. In this role, you will build products that power the post-purchase experience for the biggest brands in the retail industry. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on our customer-facing products and work with modern technologies like Java, NodeJS, Python, React, and GraphQL to ship complex features that drive millions of views.

Day-to-day

Frontend Development (Primary Focus)

  • Implement new product features & support/ extend existing ones
  • Build frontend platform components leveraged across our internal, external products and ecommerce storefronts like Shopify, Salesforce etc
  • Contribute to our overall architecture and maintain code quality standards by partnering with other senior engineers
  • Work with product and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional UI components

Backend Development (Secondary Focus)

  • Contribute to development and maintenance of backend services using Golang, Node.js
  • Understanding of google cloud platform (GCP) , CI/CD and be able to deploy code and infrastructure components
  • Work with databases like postgres, spanner, bigquery
  • Understand and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs
What we\'re looking for
  • You have a BS/MS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent
  • You have 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and high-quality systems
  • Experience in building consumer facing applications with a frontend framework(s), such as React (preferable), Svelte Angular, Vue or Ember
  • Experience building well-designed software with NodeJS or Golang
  • Experience developing consumer facing applications consuming various APIs from a microservice backend system
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of full development life cycle and computer science fundamentals
  • Strong focus on code quality and code reviews
  • Experience with mentoring other engineers
  • Previous startup experience strongly preferred with growth and product engineering mindset

Below is the estimated annual salary for this position and does not include the other components that make up a Narvar offer including: annual bonus, equity, and benefits. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across the US. Within the range, individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, skill set, education and certifications, and work location. Narvar Pay Range $180,000 — $230,000 CAD
