Senior Software Engineer / Developer (Full Stack JavaScript) London to £100k

Opportunity to progress your career in a senior, hands‑on Software Engineer role at a scale‑up tech company that enables smart matching for commercial van drivers and consumers via job bidding and route optimisation, streamlining processes and delivering CO₂ carbon‑neutral targets. You’ll be working on complex and interesting systems and can enjoy a range of benefits and perks.

As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll collaborate as part of an Agile technology team to design and develop, troubleshoot and solve complex software issues to help scale and future‑proof the business. You’ll work across the full tech stack using JavaScript and Vue.js on the front end, with additional technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Python and legacy PHP. You’ll be encouraged to explore new technologies and use the best tool for the job as well as own your own DevOps and deployment. There’s an emphasis on getting stuff done and immediate business impact, alongside longer‑term strategy.

Location / WFH:

Hybrid work‑from‑home model: three days a week in the Hammersmith office and two days from home. When in the office you can enjoy the onsite gym, barista coffee and free breakfast.

About you:

• Strong full‑stack JavaScript development skills, comfortable on projects with a 50/50 split or weighted either way.
• Experience with Vue.js (Angular or React also acceptable) and with Python, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Product‑focused with good business acumen.
• Good knowledge of APIs and in‑depth understanding of web development practices, tools and technologies.
• Enjoy learning and picking up new things.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Full software development life‑cycle experience including CI/CD and testing.
• Collaborative with Agile team experience, happy to mentor more junior developers.
• Likely degree‑educated in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline.
