Job summary

BranchFactor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve a core enterprise platform enabling event-driven architecture across the organisation. You will shape event-driven capabilities and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable software.

You will contribute to modern engineering practices, mentor engineers, and work with Spring Boot, cloud technologies, and DevOps to ensure reliable delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• Design, build, and operate Event Fabric capabilities across distributed systems.
• Contribute to event standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
• Balance scalability, resilience, security, and developer experience in design decisions.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Mentor engineers and promote high standards of code quality, testing, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve Event Fabric platform components for scalable, secure event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and other engineers to align platform capabilities with business needs.
• Review code, promote best practices, and mentor engineers across the team.
• Drive modern engineering standards, testing, and operational readiness including CI/CD and IaC.
• Contribute to event standards, patterns, and implementation guidance across the org.
