Job summary

DeepL is hiring for an Enterprise Platform Engineer in the UK, focusing on building the revenue‑critical flows and the enterprise experience. You will shape the architecture across React frontends and .NET backends, ensuring secure, scalable provisioning and billing for 200,000+ enterprises.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance to meet ARR goals while maintaining reliability and a high-velocity user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise features for SaaS platforms.
• Strong frontend-backend collaboration and architecture.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization (RBAC, SSO) and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Architect Revenue‑Critical Flows: design and ship complex, high‑stakes features like Enterprise Licensing and Automated Seat Provisioning.
• Own the Enterprise Experience: build tools for CIOs and IT Directors to manage the platform, translate RBAC constraints into UI workflows.
• Bridge the Gap: bilingual in Engineering and Business; collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance to align ARR goals with architecture.

DeepL is not just a translation tool; we are building the Operating System for Global Communication. You will join the Business Acceleration Track (BAT). This is the engine room of DeepL’s global growth. While our Research teams build the models, BAT builds the Revenue Flywheel that allows 200,000+ Enterprises (like the Fortune 500) to actually use and pay for them at scale. We are moving upmarket. We are transitioning from a consumer‑focused app to a mission‑critical Enterprise Platform. You will be part of the team architecting the "Financial Nervous System" of DeepL — handling everything from Identity & Access Management (SSO, SCIM) to complex multi‑seat Subscription Architectures and Fraud Prevention. We don't hire engineers to just implement UI tickets. We hire Missionaries who understand that a perfect AI model is useless if a Global Enterprise can't provision it securely to 50,000 employees. You will own the full vertical: from the user‑facing Admin Console in React to the distributed billing logic in C#/.NET.

Your responsibilities

• Architect Revenue‑Critical Flows: You will design and ship complex, high‑stakes features like "Enterprise Licensing" or "Automated Seat Provisioning." You ensure that when a customer upgrades, the UX is instant, and the billing ledger is immutable.
• Own the "Enterprise Experience": You will build the tools that empower CIOs and IT Directors to manage DeepL. You translate complex backend constraints (RBAC, Rate Limits) into simple, elegant UI workflows.
• Bridge the Gap: You are bilingual in "Engineering" and "Business." You work directly with Sales, Product, and Finance to translate "Annual Recurring Revenue" goals into scalable technical architectures.
• Drive System Reliability: You understand that billing systems cannot fail. You build for idempotency and resilience, ensuring that our financial data is auditable and flawless, while maintaining a high‑velocity frontend experience.

• Full‑Stack Fluency: You are comfortable traversing the stack. You can design a React component for an Admin Dashboard in morning and debug a distributed transaction in the backend in the afternoon.
• Enterprise Domain Curiosity: You are interested in the hard problems of B2B SaaS—Identity (SAML/SSO), Monetization, and Compliance. You understand that these aren't "boring details"; they are the pillars of trust for enterprise clients.
