Job summary

CGI is seeking a Software Engineer for the Space, Defence and Intelligence unit based in Manchester. You will work on secure, high‑performance systems using modern CI/CD tooling and cloud technologies.

Ideal candidates have hands‑on experience with containerisation, microservices, API development, and open source stacks, and must be prepared for National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC).

Qualifications

• Proven technical skills in containerisation and cloud architectures.
• Experience with microservice-based systems and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and modern security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure software solutions for mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with clients to implement scalable, secure architectures.
• Produce technical documentation and release notes.
