Job summary

Moody's Corporation is seeking a data engineering professional to design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and Python in AWS. Qualifications

• We seek 3 years of experience in data eng or software teams.
• Hands-on design and development of data integration/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, and Python.
• Strong DB skills with Postgres SQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Experience collaborating with Agile teams and stakeholders; strong communication.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Understanding data engineering for AI/ML workloads, including data quality, governance, lineage, scalability.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent; masters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable data engineering solutions for our digital content platform.
• Develop and maintain scalable pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt (SQL), and Python in AWS.
• Support platform optimization, infrastructure improvements, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business partners throughout design and implementation.
• Engage cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Educate and mentor others via code reviews, documentation, and workshops.

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We seek candidates with 3 years of experience within a data engineering or software development team.
• We look for hands-on experience designing and developing data integration/ETL pipelines from diverse data sources and formats.
• We look for hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, dbt, and Python.
• We require strong database skills with Postgres SQL, DynamoDB, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• We value experience collaborating with Agile teams, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders, with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We value experience applying AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot and generative AI coding assistants, to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
• We look for understanding of data engineering considerations for AI and machine learning workloads, including data quality, governance, lineage, and scalability requirements.
• A bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required; a masters degree is a plus.
