QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver software for defence and radar technologies. You will work across Windows and Linux, interfacing with specialist hardware, and help shape architecture and long-term product direction.

You will mentor engineers, participate in agile delivery, and collaborate with software, hardware and systems teams to solve complex challenges on nationally significant programmes. A SC clearance is required.

Qualificações

• Strong C/C++ development experience
• Experience in Linux environments
• Experience designing/architecting software for complex systems
• Experience interfacing software with hardware platforms
• Knowledge of device drivers and low-level software
• Experience in Agile/DevOps or modern software delivery environments

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain software across Windows and Linux environments
• Develop low-level software, device drivers and hardware interfaces
• Contribute to software architecture, strategy and long-term product development
• Lead code reviews and promote engineering best practices
• Support Agile delivery including sprint planning and decision-making
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous improvement
