Job summary

Investment Manager is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own a trade-platform backend stack. You will design and evolve event-driven, cloud-distributed systems used by senior stakeholders across finance, operations and investment teams.

Expect a backend-first role with C#/.NET, occasional Angular/TypeScript familiarity, and close collaboration with non-technical users. You will lead architectural decisions and own the domain end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience, backend-first (C#/.NET strongly preferred).
• Strong CS fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud-distributed, event-driven or microservices systems.
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Senior Software Engineer (Trade Platform) at a Investment Manager

(Industry leading comp)

You'\'ll be the dedicated engineer for a platform that senior management, investment teams, finance and operations look at every day to analyse live fund and strategy performance, right after trades are made. When a new fund launches or a new trading strategy goes live, your platform is what makes it visible and trusted across the business.

There's no BA layer between you and the people who use what you build, you'\'ll gather requirements directly from investment, finance and ops, design the solution, and own it end-to-end.

This is a backend-first role (C#, event-driven, cloud-distributed systems) but comfortability with Angular/React too is preferred.

What you\'ll actually do:

• Design and evolve event-driven, distributed systems that are genuinely used and watched by the business
• Work directly with fund accounting, operations, and senior stakeholders
• Own a domain, not a ticket queue
• Shape technical direction, not just execute on someone else\'s architecture

What we need:

• 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience, backend-first (C#/.NET strongly preferred)
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Experience with cloud-distributed, event-driven or microservices systems
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders

What\'s useful but not essential:

• Angular/TypeScript/React
• Financial services experience (asset management, insurance, fund admin, payments etc)
