Job summary

Avaloq is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform and Integration team in Edinburgh. You will maintain and enhance Core Banking modules, develop change requests, and support live clients. You’ll collaborate with Product and Parameterization SMEs to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality solutions.

This role offers a path to advance development skills and gain specialist banking knowledge inside a global, inclusive culture with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a Software Developer.
• Expertise in SQL or PL/SQL is an advantage.
• A detailed, analytical approach to problem solving.
• A team player who willingly contributes to the team's goals, supports team members and collaborates with colleagues from different backgrounds or skillsets.
• Motivation to learn and develop own skills, and understand business needs.
• Worked in the Banking sector (bonus)
• Experience working with Avaloq technology (bonus)

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of product development and enhancement including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation
• Ensure quality and maintainability of our products by designing technically sound solutions, hunting bugs and providing support to our clients
• Become a subject matter expert to contribute to the general improvements of our products and to take ownership of code components
