Job summary

MONY Group in Manchester is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering function. You will own services powering millions of customer journeys, collaborating with product, design and engineering teams to deliver value end-to-end.

You’ll work with Typescript, Javascript, Java, AWS and Vue.js, advocating TDD, pairing, mob programming and continuous delivery while mentoring peers and driving security-minded development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a software engineer, ideally with Typescript/Javascript or Java and modern cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Passion for agile development and shipping value fast.
• Experience with full end-to-end testing and Git for version control.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants to boost productivity.
• A collaborative mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering function in Manchester. You’ll be working in a team responsible for helping customers discover and switch financial products more easily. The team owns services that support millions of customer journeys each month and plays a key role in driving customer growth across MoneySuperMarket. Expect hands-on involvement across the entire SDLC, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers. You\'ll be joining a highly collaborative engineering community that values quality, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. We invest in pairing, communities of practice, hack days and technical guilds to help engineers learn from one another and grow their careers. We’re an AI-enabled engineering organisation, and we\'re actively exploring how AI can improve software delivery, from code generation and testing to documentation and architectural discovery. Engineers are encouraged to experiment with emerging tools and shape how AI is integrated into our development practices.
