Job summary

Story Terrace Inc. is seeking a mid-senior software engineer to join our innovative engineering team. You will work on the HelloSelf Companion, an AI-powered mental health product, improving its effectiveness and interactions.

With a competitive salary range of £75-85k plus equity, the role requires strong Python programming skills and offers flexible working with two days a week in our Shoreditch office.

Qualifications

Mid-senior software engineering experience with a strong foundation in Python and a track record of shipping production-quality code.
Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a growing startup.
Based in or able to commute to London (Shoreditch); two days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

Refine and evolve HelloSelf Companion, improving AI interactions.
Design and build AI-driven mental health pathways with clinical leads.
Experiment with and integrate latest AI techniques and tooling.
Write clean, well-tested code primarily in Python across data pipelines.
Engage with external research collaborators to translate requirements into solutions.
