Job summary

IFS is hiring for a hands-on production role focused on building the intelligence behind the AI-enabled experience. You will craft the session/memory model, retrieval, and agentic flows across a multi-tenant estate and support integration with service-to-service tools.

You will ship production-grade Go and Python backends, run GenAI pipelines with RAG, teach grounding against structured data, and implement secure, scalable architectures with API gateways and cloud-native tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience with S2S integration, preferably using technologies such as n8n or Temporal, or alternatively MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or Boomi.
• Experience with Go and Python.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS solutions.
• Experience building and scaling AI-native products and applications.
• Experience with production-grade GenAI solutions, including RAG pipelines and agentic systems.
• Experience with AI frameworks and tooling such as Pydantic AI, LangChain, and MCP.
• Experience with MCP development and plan-based agentic software development.
• Experience with DevOps and cloud-native infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API gateways and API products, preferably with platforms such as Kong or Tyk.
• Preferably experience optimizing AI services for latency and cost.
• Preferably experience with specification-driven development.
• Passionate about and eager to adopt new technologies.
• Up to date with the latest developments in GenAI and AI-based software development.

Responsibilities

• Build the intelligence behind the user experience: session, memory model, and retrieval across our estate.
• Develop agentic flows for multi-step work and tool usage with human handoff rules.
• Implement multi-tenant, scalable SaaS architecture on shared infrastructure.
• Create evaluation harnesses to validate AI output before shipping.
• Develop language interfaces over scheduling and optimization engines for customer terms.
• Incorporate security, data residency, and prompt-injection guardrails with the security team.
• Support speech and image inputs alongside text for plant-room and asset photo contexts.

Job description

This is a hands-on production role, not a research or prototyping one. Please only apply if you've personally built or been a core builder on a system that's live with real users - not a demo, hackathon, or personal project.

You should be able to speak in depth, from direct experience, to most of the following:

• You've built an agent or LLM system that takes actions against business systems - calls APIs, updates records, triggers workflows - not one that only answers questions from documents.
• You've shipped Go (or Java or similar languages)in a production backend (be specific about which, and how much).
• You've worked with a service-to-service orchestration tool such as n8n, Temporal, MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or Boomi.
• You've operated an API gateway (Kong, Tyk, or similar) in production.
• You've built or run a system serving multiple tenants/customers on shared infrastructure.
• You've built or used an evaluation framework to validate AI output quality before it shipped - not just spot-checked it.

If your AI experience is mainly demos, personal projects, or wiring a single LLM call into an app, this role is above that level.

Job Description

Build the intelligence behind the experience: the session and memory model, retrieval across our own estate and the documents that run it, the agentic flows that carry out multi-step work, and the evaluation that tells us whether any of it is right.

What you will do

Build the session and context spine: persistence, resumption, hand-over with the reasoning trail intact, and context resolved from a person's identity and entitlements.

Build retrieval and grounding across structured records and documents, at a cost and latency the product can afford.

Build document intelligence over manuals, engineering drawings, certification directives and contracts, extracted and citable,because formany of ourcustomers thosecarry as much operational truth as the databases.

Build the agentic flow runtime: multi-step work with tools, and the rules that decide when a human is asked rather than told.

Handle speech and images as first-class input alongside text, so the same request works dictated in a plant room or photographed at an asset.

Build the evaluationharness, andtreat it as the gate on every claim we make about autonomy.

Build the language interface over our scheduling andoptimisationengines, expressing trade-offs in the customer's own terms.

Build the security layer with our security team: resistance to prompt injection, personal data handling, guardrails,auditand data residency.
