Job summary

JOBS247 INC LTD in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to liaise with engineering divisions and ensure changes to services are reflected correctly.

The role supports 24/7 network operations and is used by VARs, DPs and partners to monitor performance; you will work across teams to analyze system behavior.

Candidates should have strong lifecycle experience, with Kafka and network tooling; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience documenting software development work for future reference and support.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle with reusable code in a team.
• Experience with event streaming platforms, such as Kafka.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of IP networks and network troubleshooting with Wireshark.
• Experience in team and corporate environments.

Job description

This Senior Software Engineer position focuses on liaising with engineering divisions to ensure systems correctly reflects any proposed changes to existing services.

They are used by 24/7 network operations controllers, system design engineers, managers across Viasat, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Distribution Partners (DPs) to monitor, measure and interpret network and service performance.

Skills & experience

• You’ll need experience in documenting your own software development work for future reference and support
• Practical experience of whole software development lifecycle, producing high quality re-useable code in a team environment
• You’ll need experience with event streaming platforms, such as Kafka
