Job summary

General Reinsurance London Branch seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable web applications using .NET/Blazor/C#, lead the Microsoft tech stack, and collaborate with international teams. You will design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality solutions on Azure.

The role requires strong experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and DevOps practices with Azure, Git, and Terraform. Insurance/reinsurance experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related subject or the equivalent and relevant work experience.
• Considerable and proven experience in software development in the .NET environment with C# and current technologies such as ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core.
• Considerable and proven experience in iterative methodologies, such as Scrum or Design Thinking.
• Design Thinking, using DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Considerable and proven experience in Azure Cloud Services, e.g. Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure App Service.
• Experience with Azure Blazer is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform are a plus.
• Experience in the reinsurance or insurance sectors is a minus? plus.

Context of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance solutions on the Microsoft technology stack (.NET / Blazor / C#).

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external-facing web applications in collaboration with international and interdisciplinary teams. The IT team currently consists of seven developers and solution specialists, and the successful candidate will be the lead for the Microsoft technology stack.
