A leading banking institution in London seeks a Senior Java Software Engineer to join their Customer Data Services Platform team. The role includes developing and maintaining large-scale applications, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to an inclusive culture. HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
We're the team that looks after the customer data for the whole of Lloyds Banking Group. Our mission is to make this data available for the right purpose with the appropriate confidentiality and always ensuring a phenomenal engineering experience based on performance, resilience, and integrity.
The systems we support, underpin almost everything we do as Lloyds Banking Group. We maintain these systems with the highest standard, with an ambition to take ownership of the operational support 24/7 using SRE principles.
Generally, you are technically minded and skilled at java. You have developed a project from inception to production and understand the value of well tested software and production feedback.
We're looking for engineers that can ask penetrating questions, design and communicate robust solutions, develop in short iterative cycles following XP practices, while being an advocate of collaboration, software excellence, agile principles and sustainability.
Be prepared to join an existing development team, pickup fast with the goal of becoming a strong member of the team, able to mentor peers and collaborate with stakeholders.
