Job summary

Ecm Selection is seeking a senior software engineer to join our Cambridge-based hybrid team, delivering cloud-based engineering software with modern C#/.NET, microservices, and REST APIs. You’ll mentor peers and help shape architecture while working across product teams.

Exposure to security and authentication (OAuth), Azure or AWS, and distributed databases is a plus. React/Vue/Angular opportunities may arise, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with design and coding ability and mentoring skills.
• Strong C# development with modern .NET patterns and good factoring.
• Microservice development experience with RESTful APIs.
• Strong communication to liaise with other product teams.
• A technical degree from a top university with strong A-levels.

The core requirements:

• A senior software engineer’s design and coding ability and track record, judgement, mentoring and review skills.
• Strong commercial-grade C# software development with awareness of modern .NET, how to get the most from the language, and establish good patterns and factoring.
• Microservice development experience – with good service factoring to reduce bloat, increase independence and separate concerns – and RESTful API design and development.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues in other product teams.
• A good technical degree from a top university, backed by strong A-level grades.

If you have, or would like to develop skills in security and authentication (OAuth), Azure or AWS architecture, service buses / event hubs, distributed databases and NoSQL that is an asset. If you also would enjoy React / Vue / Angular development there may be opportunities (this is not required).
