Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and build scalable Go backends and TypeScript/React frontends. You will influence architecture, ship production features, and drive quality across the stack.

You will own end-to-end delivery, mentor teammates, and help raise the bar in code reviews. This hybrid role is based in Birmingham with flexible hours and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with Go on the backend and TS/React on the frontend.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and SQL in distributed systems environments.

Responsibilities

Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Go + React | £70-75k | Hybrid in Birmingham

I'm working with a fast-growing tech company that's scaling its engineering team, and they need a Senior Full-Stack Engineer.

You'll own meaningful work end to end, from technical design through to production. Go on the backend, TypeScript/React on the frontend, building microservices and web apps that real users rely on. You'll also help set technical direction, mentor other engineers and raise the bar in code review.

What you'll bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial Software Engineering position
• GraphQL and SQL
• Distributed systems and event-driven architecture

Bonus points: Terraform, Kubernetes/Docker, observability tooling, design systems.

They don't expect equal depth on both sides of the stack, and learning on the job is encouraged.
