Job summary

Netcompany is seeking a versatile software engineer with Java (Spring) and DevOps experience to contribute across the full software lifecycle. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build and deliver high-quality IT solutions for clients across the UK.

You will engage in frontend, backend and integration work, while leveraging AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps tooling to drive efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT industry experience.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar.
• Experience across full software development lifecycle.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
• Hands-on coding experience across front-end, back-end, and integrations.

We always use the most suitable, and preferably the latest, technology for each project, giving you the opportunity to learn and work with many different languages.

There will always be a lead manager associated with the project with the overall delivery responsibility, who you can lean on and learn from to hone your skills around management and IT deliveries.

Hybrid working model

Key Activities:

• System development - both front-end, back-end and integrations

• 5+ years experience in the IT Industry
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
• A curiosity to explore new technologies
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle
• Ability to code within projects
• Experience in Databases, including MongoDB, SQL or Document Database
• Full-stack or backend engineering background with experience in Java (Spring) and AWS
• Experience working in a DevOps role , and happy to operate in a DevOps-focused position
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration , including Jenkins
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Liquibase
• Experience in Unit Testing
• Experience in Model-View-Controller
• Previous involvement in developing and delivering major IT solutions
• An understanding of agile tools and techniques
• Excellent communication skills and professional attitude
• Highly ambitious, wanting to excel in your career
• Candidates MUST be willing to travel to client site anywhere in the UK when needed, and MUST have the right to work in the UK
