Job summary

Mattioli Woods plc in Leicester is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a hybrid, permanent team building cloud-based financial solutions. You will refine backlogs with business analysts, design and document software, implement and test code, and mentor junior developers.

Proficiency in C#/.NET, REST APIs, UI with JavaScript/jQuery, and Azure is essential. A strong emphasis on automation, SOLID principles, Agile methods, and collaboration will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C#/.NET and REST API design, with strong OO principles.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle in a commercial context.
• Skilled with JavaScript/jQuery for UI and responsive design.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure, and automated testing.
• Ability to mentor peers and lead technical activities within the team.

Responsibilities

• Refine and deliver the product backlog with business analysts and product owners.
• Design, document, and implement software that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Maintain code, follow best practices, and implement test automation.
• Support end users, troubleshoot production defects, and resolve issues promptly.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives to improve team delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and take a lead role on selected activities.
