A leading marine technology company in the UK is seeking a Senior C# Software Developer to port and extend a proof-of-concept system focused on vessel detection and tracking. The successful candidate will work on developing a robust edge platform supporting multi-domain sensor fusion and AI-driven functionalities. The role offers a competitive salary, flexible hybrid working options, and the chance to impact global maritime safety.
We are seeking a Senior C# Software Developer to help port and extend an existing proof‑of‑concept (PoC) system written in VB.NET. The system performs vessel detection and tracking by combining ("fusing") AIS and radar data sources.
You will play a key role in transforming this PoC into a robust, scalable, production‑grade edge platform‑supporting multi‑domain sensor fusion, AI‑assisted anomaly detection, augmented reality visualization, autonomous "sentry" operations, and incident evidence capture.
SRT Marine Systems plc (SRT) are a market leader in its domain of international marine surveillance technology and systems. We are respected, established and an ambitious multi‑national company headquartered in the UK with a global customer base.
The Edge Team is responsible for developing the next‑generation hardware and software platform that forms the outer layer ("edge") of our wider Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) system. This platform consolidates and analyses sensor data gathered from the maritime environment, enhancing the intelligence available to users at remote command and control centres. Our systems operate at the intersection of edge computing, sensor fusion, AI‑assisted analysis, and autonomous operation, delivering real‑time maritime situational awareness and actionable intelligence. SRT is an exciting company where high quality results are rewarded. We are ambitious and are constantly seeking to innovate to deliver better products and services to our customers. We strive to make SRT a rewarding and challenging place to work where talented hard‑working individuals have the opportunity to make a real impact across the marine world.
