Job summary

Source Group International in London is seeking an Architect & Senior Developer to lead architecture across trading, clearing, and post-trade systems within the Investor Services business. The role combines hands-on development with strategic oversight in a hybrid London setting.

Expect extensive experience in .NET/C#, SQL Server, Kafka/IBM MQ, Azure, and regulatory frameworks (EMIR, MiFID II, CASS). You’ll mentor teams, drive DevSecOps, and shape data and security for regulated workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a senior architecture role.
• Expertise in .NET, C#, and SQL Server; React.js and Python desirable.
• Deep domain knowledge of financial markets technology and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience designing systems for listed derivatives, securities, and/or FX processing.
• Strong understanding of order processing, execution, risk management, collateral and valuation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee architecture across trading, clearing, and post-trade systems with CCPs and exchanges.
• Modernise integration patterns and reinforce security principles.
• Steer data architecture strategy including quality, ownership and security.
• Chair architecture governance forums and drive timely decisions.
• Produce architecture docs, decision records and audit-ready artefacts.
• Design resilient systems meeting RTO/RPO and FCA resilience obligations.
• Ensure regulatory obligations by design (EMIR, MiFID II, DORA, etc.).
• Mentor engineering teams on architecture, cloud-native patterns and best practices.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption and IaC; govern AI usage for secure, explainable solutions.
