Job summary

Telespazio UK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Architect to join the Ground Software Systems group in a senior capacity, shaping architecture and leading development of cloud-based geospatial data apps.

You will work on the UK Government’s environmental Data Services Platform, manage Kubernetes deployments in Azure, and implement ETL pipelines with Geoserver/OGC APIs while delivering documentation and proposals in an Agile team.

Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based applications, Azure and Kubernetes management.
Proven ability to design and implement ETL pipelines and geospatial workflows.
Hands-on with Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD tooling in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

Manage Kubernetes clusters and Azure resources; deploy via IaC.
Improve security, performance and efficiency of cloud services.
Develop and maintain apps using varied technologies and architectures.
Architect new apps and features and optimize components for performance.
Work with geospatial data, ETL pipelines, Geoserver and OGC APIs.
Deploy changes with ArgoCD, Buildkite, Azure DevOps and Github Actions.
Produce documentation and author technical proposals; provide technical leadership.
Technical management in an Agile environment.
