A child safeguarding organization based in Windsor is looking for a committed Senior Social Worker to join their Support and Safeguarding Team. This position offers a competitive pay rate starting at £31.91 per hour, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

Achieving for Children is seeking a committed Senior Social Worker to join the Support and Safeguarding Team in Windsor & Maidenhead. This is a frontline role within Social Care & Health Qualified, providing vital support to children, young people, and families. You will play a key role in safeguarding, assessment, and intervention, ensuring that children are protected and families receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments and provide direct support to children, young people, and families
  • Manage complex safeguarding cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to deliver effective interventions
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely reporting
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory frameworks, and best practice
  • Experience managing complex cases within children’s social care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and work effectively under pressure
Assignment Details
  • Start Date: 17 November 2025
  • End Date: 15 February 2026
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Shift Times: 08:45 – 17:15, Monday to Friday
Pay Rates
  • PAYE: £31.91 per hour
  • Umbrella/Ltd: £42.00 per hour
