Social Worker – Learning Disabilities & Autism Team

Are you an experienced, committed, and passionate Registered Social Worker looking to make a significant, positive difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism?

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dedicated Learning Disabilities and Autism Team. We champion a person-centred, strengths-based approach to social care, focusing on enabling citizens to live independent and fulfilling lives within their communities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Social Worker in our team, you will ensure high-quality, outcome-based responses to all eligible citizens, with duties including:

  • Assessment and Planning: Providing appropriate responses or referrals within required timescales, adhering to organisational, policy, and legislative requirements, including the Care Act 2014 and eligibility guidelines. This includes working effectively within the reimbursement legislation.
  • Crisis Intervention: Providing prompt support to meet immediate risks and needs in crisis situations, applying your professional judgement to manage complex and urgent scenarios.

Multi-Agency Partnership: Providing targeted, appropriate support through collaboration with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care for service users.
