The London Borough of Hackney is seeking a Senior Practitioner in Adult Social Care to supervise social workers across career stages and deputise for the Team Manager. The role includes casework such as Care Act assessments and safeguarding, with collaboration across health teams to support transitions to adulthood.

Applicants must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with substantial post-qualification experience in statutory adult services. Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide supervisory and management support to social workers at all levels of career development
• Deputise for the Team Manager to support the team and achieve good outcomes for residents
• Deliver social work across Care Act assessments, safeguarding, Court of Protection tasks and mental health admissions
• Collaborate with health disciplines in an integrated multidisciplinary team
• Promote strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
• Support residents to manage positive risk and independent decision-making
• Support supervisees’ professional education and contribute to social work academy initiatives
• Collaborate with Children’s Services and Education on transitions to adulthood
