Job summary

Fynity in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Security Engineer with strong Splunk SIEM experience to help design, implement and enhance security monitoring across complex, secure customer environments.

This hands-on role focuses on developing use cases, onboarding log sources, building dashboards and ensuring customers maximise their Splunk investment, while collaborating with SOC teams and security architects. DV clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

Are you a Splunk specialist looking for your next challenge within a highly secure environment?

I'm working with a growing cybersecurity team that is looking to hire a Senior Security Engineer with strong Splunk SIEM experience to help design, implement and enhance security monitoring and detection capabilities across a range of complex, secure customer environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role where Splunk sits at the heart of the security operation. You'll be responsible for developing and optimising use cases, onboarding log sources, improving detection capabilities, building dashboards and helping customers get maximum value from their Splunk investment.

Working closely with Security Architects, SOC teams and customers, you'll play a key role in improving visibility, threat detection and overall security posture.

We're keen to speak with people who have experience in:

• Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk ES administration and engineering
• SIEM design, implementation and optimisation
• Security monitoring, detection engineering and incident response
• Log onboarding, data parsing and correlation rule development
• Working with SOC and Security Operations teams
• Customer-facing delivery and stakeholder engagement
• Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical workstreams

Experience with Sentinel, cloud security technologies and automation would be beneficial, but this role is very much focused on Splunk engineering and SIEM capability development.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain DV Clearance.
