Job summary

Graphcore is recruiting an experienced SoC Architect in the UK to lead architectural specification, modelling and integration of sub-systems for next‑generation AI silicon. The role requires close collaboration with architecture, silicon design, verification, hardware and software teams to deliver high‑performance platforms.

Essential: degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, strong RTL/Verilog knowledge, and proven cross‑functional communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related subject.
• Solid understanding of computer/SoC architecture.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience writing technical specifications.
• Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes.
• Be highly motivated, a self-starter and a team player.
• Ability to work across teams and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Distilling product requirements and their effects on SoC design trade-offs.
• Collaborating with processor, SoC and system architects to determine optimal solutions.
• Understanding collaboration with silicon design, verification, and hardware engineers.
• Evaluating potential third-party IP and liaising with IP vendors.
• Design and specification of performant SoC sub-systems and integrations.
• Contribute to silicon bring-up, characterization and evaluation activities.
• Represent the SoC Architecture Team within cross-functional groups.
• Implement improvements to infrastructure and processes.
• Assist with complex debugging activities.
• Mentor Engineers with technical queries.

The Team

The Silicon Architecture Teamsits within theCOOgroup.The SoC architectsareresponsible forthe architectural specification,integration,modelling,validationand evaluationofnumerouscriticalsub-systems,including high-speed interfacesforourupcomingAI acceleration platforms.

Candidate Profile

Essential:
