Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst - Incident Response to lead complex security incidents in a large enterprise. You will own investigations end to end, coordinate multiple IT teams and apply structured incident response methodology using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.

You will mentor junior analysts, develop playbooks and ensure clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders during active incidents.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in security operations and incident response within large environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR and related tooling.
• Strong investigative capability and evidence-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security incident investigations from initial assessment through containment and recovery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams during live incidents and ensure clear, concise communications.
• Develop and tune detection rules and response playbooks to improve future outcomes.
• Mentor junior analysts and help define escalation thresholds and investigation standards.
• Produce post-incident reviews and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
