Job summary

Berenberg is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst Engineer for its SPEAR Technology division in London. You will lead incident response, investigate threats, and enhance monitoring using Splunk and cloud security tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Legal, Risk, and senior stakeholders across a global banking environment. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in SOC with strong analytical and communication skills, plus familiarity with AI-enabled security and automation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) with incident response focus.
• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent qualification.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate security incident response activities from detection to recovery.
• Detect, investigate and analyse threats using SIEM (Splunk), IDS/IPS and firewalls.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and analyse emerging attack vectors.
• Produce detailed incident reports and assess business impacts for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Legal and Risk Management to comply with regulatory requirements; improve playbooks.
