Job summary

Fortice is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a Defence-focused programme in London. You will lead efforts to relocate data to a new cloud platform and ensure reliable, scalable services.

The role is hybrid with on-site in Central London about two days per month, spanning operations and automation equally. You'll benefit from training, certifications, and opportunities across global client projects.

Qualifications

• Active UK Government Security Clearance, or willing to be sponsored.
• Experience maintaining availability of critical services using monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AWS Console/CLI, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience with privileged access management processes and technologies.
• Good understanding of container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes) and observability services.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues across cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Aligned to a Defence-related project, leading a team to relocate data to a new cloud platform.
• Hybrid setup with on-site presence in Central London around two days per month.
• Split time roughly 50% operations-focused and 50% automation-focused.
• Improve services using a metrics-driven approach.

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need you to hold an active UK Government Security Clearance, or be willing to be sponsored for it.
• We are looking for experience maintaining the availability of critical services using monitoring and alerting solutions.
• We need an understanding of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and associated automation frameworks.
• We are looking for demonstrable knowledge of AWS Console/CLI, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• We need experience with privileged access management processes and technologies.
