Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager / Project Manager to oversee a major new-build apartment development in LS13. This is a long-term freelance role with a highly respected national contractor, offering stability, autonomy, and the chance to lead a flagship project from the front. The Role

As the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, coordinate with the design and commercial departments, and act as the key point of contact for the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all site operations on a multi-unit new-build apartment development
• Managing subcontractors, site teams, and logistics
• Driving programme delivery and ensuring milestones are met
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety, quality, and compliance
• Liaising with the client, design teams, and senior leadership
• Reporting on progress, risks, and commercial matters
• Ensuring smooth project delivery from groundworks through to handover

About You

We’re looking for a confident and capable leader with strong technical knowledge of new‑build residential schemes.

Ideal experience

• Proven background as a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager
• Experience running medium‑large new‑build housing / apartment projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes, programme management, and H&S
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Able to drive a project forward independently while working collaboratively
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (essential)
