Overview

The building contractor manages projects of varied nature, including Healthcare, education, local authority, commercial, private residential, sports and leisure, embassy and religious buildings. Projects range from £200k to £5m and cover refurbishment, new build and cut‑and‑carve.

Candidate

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Site Manager across varied sectors on projects up to £2m value. Responsibilities include full site operations, client and Principal Contractor management, and delivery of construction projects without excessive red‑tape.

Project

The primary focus is Healthcare projects – standard NHS fit‑outs of wards – requiring high detail orientation, design interface, and management of M&E packages in a live operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Full site operations and management of client & Principal Contractor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and corporate safety procedures, including CDM.
• Effective communication, management, operational planning and time management.

Qualifications

• CSCS card (relevant to position).
• Construction related degree, HNC/HND or NVQ Level 4 (highly desirable).
