Job summary

Sphere Solutions is recruiting a Senior Site Manager for a flagship £20m university project in Exeter, with a leading UK main contractor. You will lead site teams, oversee safety, quality and programme, and report to the Project Manager.

Join a team delivering a design and build scheme with strong order book prospects and clear career progression. Extensive experience in education projects and a site-based leadership role is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Site Manager with a main contractor.
• Proven track record delivering design and build construction projects.
• Experience on Education, Higher Education or MoJ projects advantageous.
• SMSTS and CSCS Card essential; First Aid qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with the successful delivery of a major design and build project.
• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and specialist trades throughout the construction process.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to achieve programme milestones.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor quality standards, carry out inspections and manage snagging and defects.
• Work closely with design, commercial and procurement teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce site documentation, reports and progress updates.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the site management team.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

A leading UK main contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the team on a flagship £20 million university project in Exeter.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering this major design and build scheme, leading site operations from construction through to successful completion while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and programme.

• SMSTS and CSCS Card are essential (First Aid qualification would be advantageous)
