Job summary

Berkeley Group is seeking a Senior Site Manager for One Waterside, Bath, to lead the delivery of modern residential apartments across multiple phases. You will coordinate internal works packages, manage subcontractors and partner teams, and ensure safety, quality and on‑time completion in line with Berkeley standards.

You will drive a proactive health & safety culture, maintain rigorous quality records and support sales/ marketing with high‑standard site presentation, contributing to exceptional

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within residential construction or property development.
  • Proven ability managing large packages, phases or blocks on complex developments.
  • Experience leading internal works from first fix to handover.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent organisational capability and the ability to manage programme pressures.
  • A collaborative approach working with technical, health and safety, commercial and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all internal works packages from first fix through to handover, ensuring smooth integration between subcontractors and site teams.
  • Work closely with the Project manager, wider management team, consultants and subcontractors to support the effective delivery of the construction programme.
  • Monitor programme performance across internal works, ensuring activities remain aligned to schedule and proactively identifying, managing and escalating risks where required.
  • Maintain regular progress updates with Project Manager and ensure clear, consistent communication across all project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional working relationships with commercial teams, subcontractors and key project stakeholders to support successful delivery.
  • Encourage a collaborative and professional working environment that reflects Berkeley Group values and ways of working.
  • Drive strong, proactive and accountable Health & Safety culture, ensuring full compliance with legislation, company procedures, and best practice.
  • Ensure all internal works comply with statutory requirements, Berkeley standards and agreed site processes.
  • Take responsibility for the application of Berkeley Group quality standards, inspection regimes and management systems to deliver consistently high‑quality outcomes.
  • Monitor workmanship standards and ensure defects or quality concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date digital quality records and project documentation are maintained via Fieldview EDMS.
  • Support Project Manager and Director in developing and motivating site teams to achieve strong IHR and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Driving the delivery of a positive customer experience by working with site teams to achieve over 70% Net Promoter Score and 90% or above on the ‘Ready’ and ‘Clean’ measures within In House Research surveys.
  • Support Sales and Marketing activities by ensuring site presentation and completed units are maintained to a high standard and reflect the Berkeley brand.

We're recruiting a Site Manager for our development in Bath - One Waterside | New Build Homes Bath | Berkeley Developments.

The development comprises of modern residential apartments, with opportunity for additional social housing,delivered across multiple phases. One Waterside is creating a new riverside neighbourhood on the River Avon, offering views across thoughtfully landscaped green spaces, bringing modern living to one of the UK’s most historic cities.

What you’ll be doing
